For this exercise we used Google Alphabet Soup method. Which is the search suggestion on the search engine.
Generally when you type a few keywords on Google, their search engine tries to predict your query by suggesting past searched terms of other users.
For This Case Study|- We set Google on incognito, to avoid the search engine from suggesting our past searched terms.
- If it's on incognito it suggests most popular searched terms of the public, under the same keywords.
Go to the top of your screen where you see the URL, address or domain name. In the top right corner it usually shows the number of pages open on your browser.
In our screenshot you'll see we only have 1 page open. Next to the number there are 3 vertical dots. Click the 3 dots and select incognito under the dropdown list.

How Do You Know We Don't Have Any Backlinks To This Free Blogger On Blogspot?
Well take our word for it! But if that isn't enough, consider the following challenges:
- Which same or skilled marketer would link to a Web 2.0?
- The last time I checked most savvy blogger would rather get this blog to link to them, not the other way around.
- If you ever created a free website, you'd know how difficult it is to build links to it. And even sometimes if you link to authority sites, they go as far as disallowing you.
I hope that helped to gain your confidence. Besides what bad habits would I adapt, if I start making false claims.
If I had the heart to write deceptive content, why wouldn't I rather invest it in building suspicious links?
How can I Rank On Google First Page Without Backlinks?
I've done this many times before I learnt it here! The method I follow is quite simple And goes as follows:
1. Target low-hanging fruit keywordsInstead of choosing terms that businesses dart for, I keep a low-profile and answer questions surrounding products.
You know the types that starts with: What, When, Where, Why, How, Can and so on.
2. Use Google Alphabet Soup with the free version of keywords everywhere:It's amazingly free tools, but highly valuable for zero capital startups like us. You get to write content that people actually search for online.
Plus the keywords everywhere tool is a Google Chrome extension and gives you an idea of how many people search for the targeted phrases.
3. Go for less competitive keywords that are less popular:It reminds me of a business course I once did. They advised us to start small, target evergreen products, invest profits back into your business and gradually grow.
Following the above advice helps you to avoid getting squashed by Bigger competitors, early in your startup. Once your Bigger you can go for the Bigger Guns.
4. Target information based questions that people ask online:What better way is there to avoid the top online businesses, than to go for key phrases they consider a waste of time?
I tend to see information seekers as opportunities to gain traction.
5. Write the best researched answers:You want to pack a punch, make your voice heard and earn respect. So the best way forward is to start by giving useful information and make the internet a better place.
It's like a S.W.O.T Analysis ( Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities And Threats).
You don't have much resources, so you content should be your power point.
One of the Biggest threats to your undertaking is poorly written content. I always choose Quality over Quantity (even in romantic relationships).
6. Write daily to compile traffic on keywords that receive estimated 5 - 10 visits:When it comes to being active Online, you should be ready to put foot to Gass. You know the saying: "Practice Makes Perfect" -source- unknown.
You really have to work hard on your Strengths and in this case it is content. The more you write, the more traffic you gain and the more efficient you become.
7. This low traffic volumes eventually accumulates to hundreds, then thousands:Can you see how the above relates to this section. Your goal is to increase traffic volumes, click-through rates and readership.
So why waste time, besides every goal should have deadlines. The more you visitors increase, so will you uncertainty disappear and online confidence improve.
8. Add affiliate links and Adsense and start earning:Targeted traffic is the true digital currency. What good with a business be without buying customers?
Likewise on your blog, you first need enough visitors, before you can recommend product/services as a solution.
So traffic should be your first objective (forget about money). After you've gained traction, only then you monetize your resource.
9. There are also tiny details I research, before targeting some terms:Like for instance; the on-page SEO of competitors and how well they answered a question. I only do this when someone already took the SERPs and I wish to be daring.
Or sometimes I find that a forum, Quora or some weak website rank for a keyword that I want.
10. I then interlink my post effectively to cut crawler cost on Google:I always update and improve my articles to keep my rank OR win the SERPs. Because in some cases, although the term is not highly competitive.
It needs to be beefed up and regularly updated, to avoid future competitors from easy wins.
In Summary:I always try to answer the question even better in the summary. To attempt one last time to win the SERPs.
Like for example in this question: Can I Rank Without SEO or backlinks? I'm actually answering it proactively in the Case Study which serves as an Actual real life Examples. As a result it wins you TRUST and you bookmark this site for more exciting posts. Please share you past successful below?
